Daftar Mawaeed is a booking app. A business uses it to keep its appointment diary, and its customers use it to make and manage appointments with that business. This policy explains what we hold, why, and what you can ask us to do about it.

What we hold about you

• Your phone number. It is how you sign in and how a business recognises you. We do not store a password, because there is not one: we text or message you a one-time code instead.
• Your name, and an email address if you give us one.
• Your appointments: which business, which service, when, with whom, and whether they happened.
• Packages and loyalty points a business has given you, and how many sessions are left.
• Anything a business asks for at its own counter. Some businesses - a clinic, for example - ask for a date of birth or an identity number. That is the business asking, for its own records, and it is only ever visible to that business.
• Details you can add to your profile, if you choose to: date of birth, gender, address and an identity number. All of these are optional unless a business asks for them.
• Technical details of your phone and sign-in: a token that lets us send a notification to your device, and the network address you signed in from, which we use to stop abuse.
• Photos a business owner uploads, such as a logo, a cover picture or pictures of a service.

If you run a business

If you use Daftar Mawaeed to run a business we also hold your email address, your password (stored only in a scrambled form that we cannot read back), your name and phone number, and what you enter about the business: its services, staff, hours, customers and appointments. If you let the app read your contacts to add a customer, it reads the contact you pick and nothing else. Your contact list is not copied.

Things the app reads once

When you open a shop's invitation link and then install the app, the app reads that link once so it can take you to the right shop: on Android from the install referrer that Google Play provides, and on iPhone from the clipboard. Nothing else on your clipboard is kept, and the link is not stored once it has been used.

Error reports

If the app crashes or something fails, it sends us a short report: the app version, the operating system version and the text of the error. A report does not include your name, your phone number or your account, and personal details such as phone numbers and emails are removed from the error text before we keep it. We use these reports only to find and fix faults, and we keep them for a limited time.

Services that help us run this

We use a few providers to deliver the service, and they process data only on our behalf: Meta (WhatsApp) to deliver messages, Google Firebase to deliver push notifications, Cloudflare to protect and serve the website, and the server provider that hosts our database. The app has no advertising, no analytics and no tracking of you across other companies' apps or websites.

Who can see it

Only the businesses you have actually booked with. A business sees the customers who have appointments with it and nothing else. It cannot see that you also visit somewhere else, and there is no screen anywhere in this product that would show it.

We do not sell your information. We do not use it to advertise other businesses to you. The offers you see in the app come only from places you have already booked with.

Messages we send

Appointment confirmations and reminders go out by WhatsApp or SMS, because that is what reaches people. You can turn reminders off in the app, and doing so turns off the messages too - the app tells you that where the switch is, rather than leaving you to find out.

How long we keep it

Your appointments stay on record while your account exists, because they are the history a business relies on and the proof of a package you paid for. Delete your account and we remove your account and the details on it.

What you can ask for

• A copy of what we hold about you.
• A correction, if something is wrong.
• Deletion of your account. In the app: Profile, then Delete my account. Or follow these instructions, including if you have already uninstalled it.

Children

This app is not for children under 13. A parent booking on behalf of a child does so from their own account.
